Penguins have a fairly young team minus Bonvie and Nasreddine. They feature 4 former Pirates in Tim Brent, Dennis Bonvie, Alain Nasreddine, and Mark Ardelan. They have a few hot heads in Ryan Stone, Paul Bissonette, and Nathan Smith. They got some kids that like to streak.
Timmy really has had a tremendous postseason thus far, tallying 9 goals and 8 assists for 17 points in 10 games, well above is 8 points he had for us in 06 playoffs. Besides him, there is a bunch chipping in for the goals, no real big goal scorer, but they do have two good playmakers, rookie dman Alex Goligolski and center Kurtis McLean.
It looks like they've been playing pretty discipline hockey however. Besides Bonvie, Bissonette, Wallace, Stone, and Smith, all of whom had several fighting majors, they only have one player with atleast 8 PIMS. We will need to match that and stay out of the box.
I am not too sure if WBS will dress Bonvie. We played them twice at home this year I believe and he didnt suit for either. So far hes dressed for 4 games in the playoffs, they released Daost from an ATO earlier, so maybe he has room to play now, but I'd say maybe 2-3 games this sereis.
We know what the Pirates got. We got every player on the roster chipping in, Mikkelson, Fergy, Birner, Schneider, Bootland, and Dingle, all of whom need to continue to do that, and the regular big guns keep firing. Hopefully Bouck and Bruno will be able to return soon. Aubin is looking better and better each start, knock on wood. I don't know if it is too late in the playoffs for the Pirates to consider on signing Matt Beleksey and Eric Tangradi to ATO's, their in their OHL finals series, in which they trail 3-2, both Beleksey and Tangradi had GWG in OT, in games 4 and 5 respectively. It'd be nice to see Beleksey who is the complete package. But Im gonna assume that if they passed up on signing Swan and Macmillan to ATO's last round, they might not wanna disrupt the chemistry we got going.
GO PIRATES. See you all Wednesday at PIzza Time hopefully.
